Terms of Use

BhaiBahini offers guidance and connection—not guarantees, professional advice, or a replacement for a young person’s own judgment and trusted support system.

  1. Agreement

These Terms of Use govern access to bhaibahini.org, app.bhaibahini.org when made available, interest and application forms, the Kohalpur pilot, and related services offered by legal partners under the BhaiBahini name. By using a service, submitting a form, or participating in the program, you agree to these Terms and the policies linked from them.

If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you are a parent or guardian consenting for a minor, you agree to these Terms on your own behalf and acknowledge the minor’s participation responsibilities.

  2. Eligibility and youth participation

Public interest forms are intended for people age 13 or older. A child under 13 must not submit personal information directly; a parent or guardian may contact BhaiBahini on the child’s behalf. Participants under 18 may be required to complete a parent or guardian consent process before mentorship begins.

BhaiBahini may set additional eligibility, location, language, availability, identity-verification, or pilot requirements. Expressing interest does not guarantee acceptance, matching, funding, or access to the production platform.

  3. What BhaiBahini provides

BhaiBahini supports access to guidance, perspective, and learning relationships. The program may include educational content, mentor discovery, applications, verification, onboarding, matching, scheduling, remote sessions, events, and participant support. Features may change during the pilot.

BhaiBahini does not guarantee a match, a particular mentor, uninterrupted service, employment, admission, migration outcomes, scholarships, investment, or any specific personal or professional result.

  4. Mentorship boundaries

Mentorship is guidance—not decision-making on behalf of a mentee. Mentors do not act as therapists, doctors, lawyers, financial advisers, immigration advisers, emergency responders, recruiters, employers, or guardians through BhaiBahini unless a separate, clearly disclosed professional relationship is established outside the program.

BhaiBahini mentorship takes place through approved remote channels. In-person meetings are not part of the program. Participants must not move mentorship communications to unapproved personal accounts or arrange private in-person contact.

  5. Accounts and accurate information

    • Provide accurate, current information and update it when it changes.
    • Keep account credentials and session links private.
    • Use only your own identity and do not impersonate another person or organization.
    • Notify BhaiBahini promptly of unauthorized access, lost device, or suspicious activity.
    • Complete identity, reference, background, or safeguarding checks requested for your role.
  6. Founding mentor profiles and content

Mentor profiles may be displayed for demonstration, pilot recruitment, or service delivery only with the mentor’s documented permission. Profile information must be truthful and must not imply employer endorsement. BhaiBahini may edit, pause, or remove a profile for accuracy, safety, consent, or program reasons.

Ratings, testimonials, participation counts, availability, and outcomes must reflect genuine program activity. No participant may submit fabricated, paid, retaliatory, or misleading feedback.

  7. Acceptable use and conduct

You must treat others with dignity and comply with the Code of Conduct and Safeguarding Policy. You may not:

    • Harass, threaten, exploit, groom, shame, bully, stalk, discriminate against, or sexually approach another participant.
    • Discriminate based on caste, ethnicity, Indigenous identity, race, color, nationality, language, religion or creed, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, economic status, migration status, or other protected or marginalized identity.
    • Request money, gifts, passwords, intimate images, unnecessary identity documents, or confidential family or financial information.
    • Promote unsafe migration, fraudulent opportunities, exploitative recruitment, or services that benefit from pressure or deception.
    • Record, photograph, stream, transcribe, or share a mentorship session without explicit program authorization and all required consent.
    • Scrape profiles, harvest contact information, introduce malware, bypass safeguards, or use the service for spam, advertising, or unauthorized commercial activity.
    • Retaliate against someone who raises a concern or participates in a review.
  8. Safety reports and enforcement

Report concerns through the approved reporting channel or [SAFEGUARDING EMAIL]. BhaiBahini may review communications or account records available to it, pause a match, restrict contact, remove content, suspend or terminate access, notify a parent or guardian, or refer a matter to qualified third parties or authorities when reasonably necessary.

BhaiBahini will seek to act fairly and with attention to confidentiality but cannot promise complete confidentiality or a specific outcome. Immediate danger should be reported to local emergency services or an appropriate child-protection authority; BhaiBahini is not an emergency service.

  9. Intellectual property

BhaiBahini’s name, logo, website design, educational materials, and original platform content are owned by or licensed to legal partners. You may use them only for personal, non-commercial participation unless written permission says otherwise.

You retain ownership of the content you submit. You give BhaiBahini a limited, non-exclusive license to host, use, reproduce, adapt, and display that content only as needed to operate, protect, and improve the service or as separately permitted by you. Public use of a photograph, story, testimonial, or mentor profile requires appropriate permission.

  10. Third-party services

The service may rely on third-party tools for forms, identity verification, calendars, email, video calls, hosting, or payments. Their terms and privacy notices may also apply. BhaiBahini is not responsible for independent third-party services outside its reasonable control but will select and configure providers with safety and privacy in mind.

  11. Fees, scholarships, and sponsorships

Any fee, scholarship, refund, sponsor-funded access, or paid feature will be explained before a participant commits. Mentor participation is not employment unless a separate written agreement states otherwise. Sponsors do not gain control over individual matches or access to private participant information merely by providing funding.

  12. Changes, suspension, and termination

We may change, pause, or discontinue features or pilot activities. We may suspend or terminate access to safety concerns, policy violations, legal requirements, program capacity, or misuse. Where appropriate, we will provide notice or an opportunity to respond, but urgent protective action may be taken immediately.

  13. Disclaimers and responsibility

Services are provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. BhaiBahini uses reasonable care in program design and mentor screening, but cannot guarantee that every statement, external opportunity, mentor opinion, or participant action is accurate, complete, or risk-free. Participants remain responsible for their decisions and should seek qualified professional or guardian support when needed.

  14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, legal partners and its personnel will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits safeguarding duties imposed by law.

  15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by laws, without overriding rights that applicable law gives to children or consumers. Before filing a formal claim, please contact us so the parties can try to resolve the concern informally. This section must be finalized after the operating entity and cross-border structure are confirmed.

  16. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms as the service develops. Material changes will be posted with a revised date and additional notice where appropriate.
